Southern possesses a General A and C-10 license in the state of California, lic. #222252.  As a major utility contractor, we own our own bucket trucks, employing certified IBEW electricians.  By utilizing our own work force we are able to manage installation work more efficiently, minimizing costly traffic control, and effectively controlling schedules.  Time really is money on LED modernization projects.  The sooner the project is done, the more money a city will save.  Using our own labor force, not only are safety and quality enhanced, but we also eliminate a double markup of profit on labor which otherwise results from acting as a general contractor hiring a local electrical contractor.

 

We collaborate with our clients by providing cities with read-only access to our GIS/ GPS tracking system.  Cities can monitor productivity and progress daily, streetlight-by-streetlight, as electrician installers update the database in real time through our ESRI web application.  This has proven valuable in coordinating wiring and related field issues with city crews, keeping the project working smoothly while assuring effective collaboration and cooperation with our city clients.
